Data Deletion Instructions

What data we hold

For a customer who has messaged a participating barbershop, we may hold:

• Your phone number (SMS / WhatsApp) or Instagram user ID and username (Instagram)
• Your name, when provided
• The content of messages exchanged with the barbershop's The Botler bot
• Appointment details that resulted from the conversation (service, date, time, notes)

We do not store payment card numbers — those are handled directly by Stripe or Square.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your data in either of these ways:

• Email us. Send a request to newhudsontechllc@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request." Include the phone number or Instagram handle you used to message the barbershop so we can locate your records.
• Reply STOP. Replying STOP to any message opts you out on that channel and marks your conversation for removal. You can include a deletion request in the same conversation.
• Ask the barbershop. The barbershop you messaged can also remove your conversation and appointment records on your behalf from their The Botler dashboard.

What happens next

We will delete the personal data we hold about you — including your contact identifier, message content, and associated appointment records — within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with law. We will confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

Note that Instagram conversations are also subject to Meta's own retention policies on Meta-controlled infrastructure, which are outside our control.
